INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING POLICY
At Jama Equipment, we are experienced in handling international freight logistics for specialized medical and healthcare devices. We ensure all equipment is professionally crated and fully documented for smooth customs clearance.
1. Logistics and Incoterms
All international orders are processed and shipped from Boom Baru Port (Palembang) or Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Jakarta), Indonesia. We primarily operate under the following International Commercial Terms (Incoterms):
FOB (Free On Board): We cover all costs and risks up to loading the equipment onto the shipping vessel at the Indonesian port.
CIF / CFR (Cost, Insurance, and Freight): We arrange transport to your named destination port. Shipping insurance is included under CIF.
2. Packaging & Handling
Medical devices are sensitive and highly valued. Our logistics team uses customized heavy-duty wooden crating, anti-static wrapping, and shock-absorbent padding to guarantee the unit is completely secure during maritime or air transit.
3. Lead Time and Documentation
Handling Time: 5 to 10 business days for final calibration, multi-point inspection, crating, and Indonesian export clearance.
Documentation Provided: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L) or Air Waybill (AWB), Certificate of Origin (COO), and Device Inspection Report.
Import Customs: The buyer is fully responsible for customs clearance, import duties, and any medical device regulatory approvals required in the destination country.
INTERNATIONAL RETURN & WARRANTY POLICY
Due to the complex nature and high transit costs of international medical equipment freight, our return policy is regulated as follows:
1. B2B Warranty Framework
Unless stated otherwise in your formal commercial invoice, all certified pre-owned equipment includes a 90-Day Parts-Only Warranty starting from the date the shipment arrives at your destination port.
2. Virtual Pre-Shipment Inspection (Anti-Scam Guarantee)
To completely eliminate the risk of receiving incorrect or non-functioning devices, we require a mandatory Live Video Inspection via Zoom or WhatsApp prior to loading. Our engineers will run the machine, verify the Serial Number (S/N), and display its full operating status. Once you approve the live test, the unit is locked for crating, and no returns can be made for functional complaints thereafter.
3. Damaged Shipments
If the equipment is damaged during transit under CIF terms, a claim must be filed immediately with the maritime insurance carrier. Retain all original wooden packaging and take high-resolution photographs/videos of the damage within 48 hours of cargo release to support the insurance claim.
